Saudi Govt Introduced Online Umrah Visa Applications

Haj Minister Bandar Hajjar said that Umrah operators were currently ready to be given online applications for visas, He said more that they announced for request. He supported companies functioning in the field to give the finest services for pilgrims, who are their accountability on appearance in the Kingdom.

He said that the online system had worked easily last year, with over 6 million applications procedured. Only 6,000 pilgrims had stayed unlawfully in the Kingdom, he said. “Making easy the pilgrimage of this enormous number of Muslims would not have been probable but for the huge growth plan assumed on the orders of guardian of the Two Holy Masjid King Abdullah,” Hajjar said.
He said that new rules would be acted on this year intended at developing services for Umrah pilgrims. The services enclosed comprise the issuing of visas, duties of agencies working abroad, training of service staff, and compacted with countries that did not have Umrah operators.  He said the new rules were planned by the Umrah section at the Haj Ministry, in association with other division, to make sure sufficient higher training for the season.
He said planning for this year commenced before the ending of the last Umrah season, with officials doing care to set right previous mistakes and put up on achievement. Hajjar said all Umrah-related activities are happened automatically, which has decreased dispensation time to a few hours. He said that the approval or refusal of a visa application online did not require more than a few hours, without cooperating security or service stipulation. Previously these events got several days or weeks.
