Umrah Pilgrims Visiting Historic and Holy Sites in Madinah in Large Numbers

In fact, with the passage of time the number of Umrah pilgrims is only increasing, as according to ArabNews thousands of pilgrims are gathering in Madinah now a days. What Umrah Teaches Us Exactly?

You may have heard from many Muslim brothers and sisters that Umrah is an amazing experience which is hard to describe in words and it has changed their lives forever. But, one merely realizes this fact until he/she undertakes the holy journey. It can be judged from this example that many of us cannot even imagine spending a single day without their mobile phones. It’s literally impossible for them to stay out of touch with their colleagues, friends or family members. However, when they reach Makkah to perform Umrah, there is just one connection which they like to develop and that is with Allah. Pilgrims put everything behind their back and just fully devote themselves to ibadat, so they could seek Allah Subhan Wa Ta'ala’s bliss.

Similarly in everyday life some of us cannot think about walking without wearing their Caterpillar, Nike or Adidas shoes. But when they have to walk in simple slippers or even barefoot during the Tawafa of Khana Kaaba and Saee none of them feels any pain or discomfort. Despite the fact that they have to perform three Tawafs and each Tawaf is about 2 kilometres walk or more if there is a huge crowd inside Haram Sharif. Whereas, during Saee pilgrims have to cover approximately 3.5 kilometres distance on foot.

What is Hajj and Umrah

Hajj and Umrah are not just pilgrimages to Makkah, but are considered as one of the most important holy rituals in Islam. That is why each year thousands of Muslims from different parts of the world come to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj and Umrah. Since these pilgrimages binds Muslims to visit Makkah and perform certain similar rituals, therefore often people gets confused between the two holy rituals and fails to differentiate between them. To resolve this confusion and shed more light on Hajj and Umrah, we at British Haj Travel have compiled some significant points below. These points will make it easy for the people to understand difference between the two pilgrimages.

Difference Between Hajj and Umrah

Why Muslims Should Perform Haj in Early Age

Haj is the largest gathering of Muslims in the world that takes place in Saudi Arabia every year. During this holy pilgrimage Muslims gathers to perform the sunnah of Hazrat Ibraham (A.S), sacrificing of an animal on Eid-Ul-Adha, along with the tawaaf of Kabah by wearing an unstitched white garment called ahram. This holy ritual gives Muslims an opportunity for change, forgiveness, paradise and turning towards the creator of all, Allah SubhanaWaTa'ala. Therefore, Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) has said that all Muslims must perform Haj once in their lifetime, if they have the strength and wealth to do it. Wealth may not be an issue for many Muslims, but good health and youth are two things without which it gets really tough for a person to perform Haj.

As a result of that most of the scholars often say that Muslims should make an effort to perform Haj in their youth because besides being a spiritual and emotional journey, holy pilgrimage is also test their physical fitness. Therefore, young Muslims should give preference to Haj over vacation, marriage or travel. Below British Haj Travel has listed few reasons which further explain why Haj should be performed in the young age.

Is it Permissible Muslim Men and Women can Stand and Pray in Same Row During Umrah or Haj

We often get to see that during massive gatherings like Umrah and Haj, Muslim men and women are saying their prayer by standing in the same row rather than in different rows. As a result of that many people gets confused and often raise the question that when Islam discourages free mixing of two genders then, how come men and women are allowed to say their prayer by standing in the same line.

In response to this question some say that it is not possible to control such a huge crowd of pilgrims therefore, at such gathering men and women can stand and pray in the same line. While others say that there is no clear evidence in both Hadith and Quran that compels observance of differentiation among the two genders.

How to Apply for Haj Visa 2015

British Muslims who have never visited Saudi Arabia in their life usually do not know how to apply for Haj visa. Therefore, they often face problems when they plan to perform the holy ritual. To guide such people British Haj Travel has compiled some valuable information for them that will prove quite helpful and make the process more easy for them.

Visas

To get Haj visa, British Muslims should acquire the services of an authorised travel agency which will forward their visa application to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia on their behalf. The reason for acquiring the services of authorised travel agent is that the Ministry of Haj has bonded the pilgrims to do so. As a result, pilgrims send their request to the Saudi Consulate along with their passports and other necessary travelling documents through their travel agent.

Choosing Between Hajj and Marriage

Hajj is a holy pilgrimage and religious duty that every Muslim is bound to perform once in their life, if they are physically fit and have the meansto do so. However, sometimes people get stuck in a situation where they have to choose between Hajj and other important responsibilities. For instance a person got the opportunity to perform Hajj during this year, but his or her parents have already scheduled their marriage during the same time period.

In such a situationit is really difficult for a person to choose what they should give up. Hajj is a way for Muslims to show their solidarity and submission to Allah, while marriage is also one of the favourite deeds of Allah. In such scenarios, Muslims always seek help and British Haj Travel has always tried its best to sort their problems in the light of Quran and Sunna.

Religious and Historic Sites to Visit Around Madinah During Hajj (Part 2)

2. Jabal Uhud

The historic site that you will come across will be the Mount or Jabal Uhad where Muslims had a great battle with Meccans on 3 Shawal 3 AH (19 March 625). Unfortunately, Muslims lost that battle as they breached Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) order. Before the battle of Uhad Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) ordered 50 archers to stand on this mountainside and strictly directed them not to leave their place, no matter whatever the situation maybe.

Holy Prophet (PBUH) specifically placed these archers to obstruct enemy in case they attack from behind. However, when these archers saw Meccans running from the battle field they left their place and started collecting their spoils. This gave Meccans a chance to attack Muslims from behind and turn their defeat into victory. The mistake caused severe causalities and Muslims had to bear severe loss. This defeat at Mount Uhad gave Muslims a great lesson that they should never disobey Allah.

Precious Words From The Holy Quran

The Holy Quran is a ray of light for every human being who wants to succeed in this and next world, as it is complete code of life. Every generation has discovered a new source of inspiration, courage and strength in this book. Also, it has guided people in the turbulent times of their lives by explaining itself. For instance, when someone feels that no one understands, “I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks,” says Allah – Bukhari.

The holy book also revives our faith in one creator because when we feel that there is no one to help us, Allah tells us through Quran that “I will help you with a thousand Angels each behind the other in succession.” – Surah al-Anfal : 8-9. Similarly when you feel that everyone has abandoned you, Allah says that “Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything).” – Qur’an 20 : 46. Our faith in Almighty also boosts when Allah says to people, who have lost hope due to hardships that “Verily, the help of Allaah is (always) near!” – Qur’an 2 : 214.

WHO Says MERS Cases Are Decreasing But Countries Should Still Stay Alert

The authorities in Saudi Arabia warned the Umrah pilgrims to postpone their plan of performing the minor pilgrimage this year due to increase in the number of deadly Middle East Respiratory Syndrome(MERS) virus cases. However, now it seems that the authorities have taken some serious steps to deal with the fatal virus, as a drop in MERS cases has been observed. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed this report on Tuesday, June 17, but the organization has also warned the countries to stay vigilant for the pilgrims visiting Saudi Arabia, according to Yahoo News.

The World Health Organization revealed in a statement that the increase in the number of MERS cases that was witnessed back in April is now declining and there was no indication of human-to-human transmission in societies. The health agency of the United Nations also said that the situation, however, is still little distressful considering the fact that the number of visitors to Saudi Arabia is likely to increase in the coming days due to Umrah, Ramadan and later for Hajj.

The announcement was released by WHO after a teleconference between the officials of seven different countries where several cases of MERS virus were reported. The countries include Iran, Saudi Arabia, Netherland, UAE, USA, Jordan and Algeria. So far 284 people have lost their lives in Saudi Arabia due to deadly MERS virus since it has emerged back in April 2012. While hundreds others got seriously affected by this disease, as 22 countries had reported about MERS cases.

MERS is considered as a cousin of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus that killed hundreds of people in Asia and majority in China. Although, MERS is considered more deadly than SARS but it is less transmissible than its cousin. It is because of this very reason, WHO has not found MERS virus transforming from one person to another person. However, initial investigation of WHO has indicated that close connection with camels is most probably the source of MERS.

Each year millions of Muslim pilgrims visit Saudi Arabia to perform minor and major pilgrimages and to spend Ramadan in the holy land. Thus year Ramadan will begin in July while Haj will take place two months after the holy month, so once again a lot of visitors are expected to enter in Saudi Arabia this year. You too can visit the sacred land during this Ramadan without exhausting all your savings, as British Haj Travel Ltd has offered exclusive Ramadan packages to British pilgrims.

UK-Based Association of British Hujjaj Strongly Condemns Increase in Haj Package Prices

According to Arabian Business, several travel agencies and companies raised the prices of their Haj packages once again during this year. As a result, the Association of British Hujjaj (Pilgrims) UK (ABH) that looks after the interest and well fare of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, has instantly slammed the increase. The UK-based group also said that they support Saudi Ministry of Haj’s warning which states that severe action would be taken against the companies, which are found raising the prices of Haj package this year.

The ABH said in a statement that it is highly appalling that some dishonest and rogue travel agencies make unjustifiable profit by targeting weak Haj pilgrims like disabled, sick and elderly people. The group even said that this nothing but cheating because unlike other travel packages, many pilgrims exhaust their entire life savings to perform Haj in order to fulfill their wishes of visiting the house of Allah.

According to the UK-based group a number of travel agents including carriers are taking “undue advantage” of weak Haj or Umrah travelers and charging high prices from them. ABH added that this deteriorating situation of taking advantage of weak pilgrims has become a serious challenge for authorities in the Kingdom and around the world.

Thus, ABH urged the authorities in Saudi Arabia that they should come forward and save weak pilgrims and take strict action against corrupt and immoral Haj service providers. On the other hand, the Ministry of Haj has made it known that they had forwarded the report against rogue travel companies to higher ministry committee so that they could take “penal action” against them.

If the Ministry of Haj in Saudi Arabia takes an action against the rogue travel companies then, it will not be the first time that they will be doing so. Given that ministry had taken stern action against 52 such domestic companies during last year. The Haj will start in the first week of October, as the holy month of Ramadan will begin at the end of this month.

However, British Muslims will not have to worry about the hike in the prices of Haj packages, as one of the leading travel agencies of the country, British Haj Travel Ltd is still offering Haj packages at unbeatable prices

MATTA Urges Malaysian Prime Minister to Convince Saudi Government to Relax Umrah Quota

In spite of an increase in the MERS virus cases in Saudi Arabia, the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has demanded from their Prime Minister to convince the Saudi government in to increase the quota of Umrah visas for Malaysian citizens, reports The Star. Addressing a press meeting, the president of MATTA, HamzahRahmat said that they had recently submitted about 26,000 Umrah applications to Saudi Arabia, but less than 10 percent of them got approved. Hamzah also revealed that when quota system was introduced in Malaysia during last year it was only limited to two months Shaaban and Ramadan.

However, during this year the restriction started a month earlier in Rejab that comes before Shaaban and Ramadan without any prior notice from the Saudi government, said Hamzah. As a result, all the agents who had even submitted online applications long before the deadline failed to get their visas approved by Saudi Arabia, said the MATTA president. He added that this problem could be solved only if Malaysian government intervene in this matter.

That’s not all early restriction has also effected the local Umrah travel agents, as they had already received full payments for lodging and flights. In fact, they had exchanged it different people involve in the process including ground operators in the Kingdom.Ha,azah said that of pilgrims themselves postpones their plan to do Umrah it will not hurt travel agents, but in case of cancellation or rescheduling agents have to bear great loss.

Keeping this point in mind, Hamzah requested the airlines in aid of MATTA members that they should consider waiving cancellation charges and make full refunds to MATTA members. Now it remains to be seen whether Malaysian government will aid travel agents to resolve this problem. However, British Umrah pilgrims will not have to face any of these problems, as no quota system has been introduced for the country.

Thus, if you are planning to perform Umrah during this year then, visit authorized Haj and Umrah travel agent, British Haj Travel Ltd. today and acquire the best services.

Indonesian Government Makes No Changes in Umrah Trips Despite of Increase in MERS Cases

According to Jakarta Post the Minister forReligious Affairs of Indonesia, Suryadharma Ali has revealed in a recent statement thatin spite of increase in the number ofMiddle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) cases in Saudi Arabia government has no plans to delay or reduce the trips of pilgrims to the holy land. Talking to the media people after the ceremony of the Buddhist Day of Enlightenment in Central Java on Wednesday, May 15, 2014 the minister said that they have not taken any step regarding cancellation or delay of Umrah trips yet. He also said that fatality rate due to MERS still had not reached a high level, as it is between 34 to 35 percent.

Adding to it, Ali said that this fatality rate is far below than rabies and bird flu rate that touched 85 percent mark at one time. According to Suryadharma, they have made this decision after reviewing the considerations of World Health Organization (WHO) and various other relevant institutions. Given that these institutions have not declared MERS as an ‘extraordinary event’ yet.The Religious Affairs Minister also said that the MERS virus first emerged in the Middle East back in 2012 and between 2012 and 2013 no Indonesian pilgrim was reported to have suffered from this disease. He said the increase in the spread of virus was only escalated during this year.

However, according to the minister, the government is cautious and is already taking measures to avert the spread of MERS, as he said that do not let the disease spread in the country. As compared to Indonesia, Egypt has recently cancelled 25 percent of its Umrah trips due to increase in the cases of MERS. Still Basil Al-Sisithe chairman of the Economic Chamber of Tourism Companies in Egypt is of the opinion that the number of pilgrims will remain stable during the holy month of Ramadan. A Hospital Official Predicts Number of MERS Effected Patients to Increase in Future

Saudi authorities have already warned all the Muslims, who are planning to visit Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah in the coming day, about the deadly and infectious Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) that is once again swiftly spreading among the pilgrims. The latest in this regard came from Jakarta Post, which has unveiled that an official of Adam Malik Hospital in Medan has predicted that the number of MERS suspected patients are likely to increase in the coming days. According to him the reason behind it is that a lot of people are still going to the Kingdom to perform Umrah. The prediction came from none other than LuhurSoeroso himself, who is the Head of the Lung Department of Adam Malik Hospital.

Commenting on the fatal virus on last Sunday, Soeroso said that he has no idea when this deadly virus will come to an end, as people are still going to perform minor pilgrimage and it will continue until Haj. Shedding light on his prediction regarding MERS, Luhur said that his forecast was not only based on on-going Umrah traveling, but it is also based on latest suspected MERS cases that various hospitals in the country have recently reported. He also unveiled that nearly every day a new patient, who is suspected of MERS virus is coming to their hospital. In fact, only on Sunday eight patients from different regions of North Sumatra received the treatment of MERS in the hospital.

Last Saturday a 26-year old male was admitted in the Adam Malik Hospital around 11:00pm, who had very high temperature and also suffering from severe cough. The patient had arrived from Saudi Arabia on the very same day he was admitted to the hospital.SairiSaragih, spokesperson for hospital said that four out of eight suspected patients of MERS were discharged after their results came negative or found to have just ordinary influenza. According to Saragih, SHN, a patient is the only case that was suspected to have MERS, but he was discharged as the test reports came negative.

Talking about the remaining four patients Sairi said that doctors had already taken their samples of throat and nasal swabs, which are being sent to a laboratory in Jakarta. The spokesperson added that they are waiting for their results, if they came negative, the patients will be allowed to go to their homes.Though, Adam Malik hospital has limited facilities when it comes to treating MERS suspected patients, but Sairi said that they are geared up to receive such patients.

Currently the hospital has only 11 isolation rooms, where MERS suspected patients can be treated, but they have already system in place if the number of such cases increases, said Sairi. On the other hand, the administration of Riau Health Agency has made it known that they have isolated three suspected-MERS patients, who came from the Kingdom at the start of this month are having respiratory problem and high fever.

Umrah Guide for Men&Women by British Haj Travel

Umrah is a sacred ritual and pilgrimage that all Muslims wish to do once in their lifetime. Here is Umrah guide for men and women by British Haj Travel

Blue for Arabic Transliteration
Orange for Eng translation of Arabic

1. Before setting out for Umrah

The first step is to make Ghusl which is a full body wash including washing hair. You are required to trim your nails and trim pubic hair. If it is time for Salah, then perform the full prayer and also offer 2 rakkahs Nafl prayer of travelling.

When you step out of your accomodation, say:

Bismillahi, Tawakkaltu, 'a-lallahi, wa laa hawla wa laa quwatta illah billah

(In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might or power except with Allah)

Also, recite the dua of travelling, which is as follows:

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Subhaa-nalathee, Sakha-ra-la-naa ha-thaa wa maa kunaa, lahu muq-ri-nee-na wa innaa ilaa rabbinaa la-mun-qa-le-boon

(Allah is the greatest x3, How perfect He is, The One Who has place this (transport) at our service, and we ourselves would not have been capable of that, and to our Lord if our final destiny.)

A'uthoo bi-kalimaa tillaah-hitammaa ti-min sharri maa khalaq

(I take refuge in Allah's perfect words from the evil that He has created.)

During the journey from your house or hotel to the Ka'abah, it is recommended that you keep reciting any Dhikr of Allah, Du'as, recite Quran or read literature on Islam. However, since you are in a state of travelling, whether in the airplane, bus or car you may combine prayers and shorten them. Allah has provided this ease for travelers:

  • Dhur (2 Rakaats) & Asr (2 Rakaats) together
  • Maghrib (3 Rakaats) & Ishaa (2 Rakaats) together

2. Before reaching Meeqat

Meeqat is the name of the places from where you can change into Ihram and where your Umrah starts. Beyond this point there are many rules to follow as well, as it is a mark that you have entered the holy city of Makkah.

Men have to change into their Ihram, which is the Fardh part of Umrah for men. It is basically 2 pieces of white cloth, and when the men wear this they make the intention to perform Umrah and recite this :

Labbaik Allahumma 'Umrah

(Here I am O Allah making 'Umraah)

If you have a feeling that you may fall ill or be subjected to anything that may cause a problem in the Umrah, or if they feel their Umrah might not be completed, they can trim their hair and do not have to pay ransom. The du'a is as following:

Allahumma mahillee haithu habastanee

(I come out of the state of Ihraam from the place You prevent me from continuing).

After you have performed Wudhu and made intention of Umrah, you can also say Nafl prayers if you wish. Then the men are required to raise their voices, while women whisper the Talbiyah, which is as follows:

Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka laa shareeka laka labbayk,
innal-hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk, laa shareeka lak lak

(Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am. You have no partner. Here I am.
Surely all praise, grace and dominion is yours, and you have no partner.)

You continue reciting Talbiyah until you reach the Ka'aba.

 3. When entering Masjid and Ka'abah

The most important thing to remember is to enter the Masjid with your right foot and recite the du'a of entering a mosque:

Bismillahi, Allallhumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa sallim – allahumma aftah lee abwaaba rahmatika

(In the name of Allah! O Allah! Exalt the mention of your Messenger. O Allah! Forgive my sins, and open the gates of Your mercy for me).

When you look at the Ka'abah, make a du'a for yourself and that Allah makes Umrah easy for you. Immediately start taking round of the Ka'abah also known as Tawaf. Before the men start Tawaf, they are required to bare their right shoulder. This baring of shoulders is called Idtiba'a, and is ONLY during Tawaf after which they are required to cover both shoulders. The Tawaf must be performed while in the state of Wudhu by both men and women.

4. Performing Tawaf

There is a green light that denotes the starting point of the Tawaf. You should stand before it, and that is also the point where the Black Stone is. Say Bismillah, allahu Akbar, just before you should kiss the Hajr-e-Aswad or Black Stone if you can, otherwise you should touch with your right hand or face towards it and point at it with your right hand.

Raml is a ritual that is performed only by men, in which they do the Tawaf around the Ka'abah with quick steps during the first 3 round and then at normal pace during the rest of the 4 rounds. When you reach the Yemeni corner of the Ka'abah you are required to touch it or point towards it, reciting only Bismillah Allahu Akbar without saying or reciting anything else.

When walking from Temeni Corner towards the Black Stone, recite this du'a

Rabbanaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanatan wa feel aakhirati hasanatan wa qinaa 'adhaaban naar

(Our Lord, grant us good in this life and good in the hereafter and save us from the punishment of the Hellfire.[Quran; 2:201])

one round of the Ka'abah or Tawad is complete when you reach the starting point or the Black Stone again. The rest of the 6 rounds are to be completed in the exact same way as the first. Except the dua's mentioned, there are no sepcific du'as that you have to recite. You can make du'a for yourself, your family etc and whatever your heart feels like. You can recite the Quran as well.

5. Maqaam-e-Ibrahim

Once you have completed the Tawaf, the next step is to proceed towards the Maqaam-e-Ibrahim. This is the Station of Ibrahim, and recite this verse from the Quran:

Wattakhidhoo min-maqaami ibraaheema musalla

(And take you (people) the Maqaam (place) of Ibraheem as a place of Prayer. [Quran; 2:125])

You should pray two Rak'ahs at the Maqaam-e-Ibrahim or as close as possible or if that is not possible then anywhere in the Masjid-e-Haram. There is no obligatory way of performing this, but it is preferred that you recite Surah Al Fatiha and Surah Al Kafiroon in the first Rak'ah and Surah Al Fatiha and Surah Al-Ikhlaas during the second Rak'ah.

6. Zam Zam Wells

Go to the Zam Zam well after performing the 2 Rak'ahs at Maqaam-e-Ibrahim. Drink the pure water of Zam Zam and make du'a before drinking it. Always drink it with your right hand.

7. Perform the Sayee

The Sayee or Sai is the performance of 7 circuits to and fro the As-Safa and Al-Marwa mountains. When you leave the Mosque to go twoards Sayee, recite the du'a for leaving a mosque:

Bismillahi was-salaatu was-salaamu 'alaa rasoolillahi, Allahum-ma inee a'-aluka min fadhlika, Allahum-ma a'simnee minash-shaitaanie-rajeem

(In the name of Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.O Allah, I ask You from Your favour. O Allah, guard from the accursed devil.)

When you reach the Mount of As-Safa, recite the following verse from the quran:

Innas-safaa wal marwata min sha'aa'irillaahi faman hajjal baita 'awi'tamara falaa janaaha 'alaihi an yattawwafa bihimaa wa man tatawwa'a khiran fa'innallaha shaakirun 'aleemun

(Verily, As-Safaa and Al-Marwah are from the symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or 'Umrah of the house (ka 'bah) to perform the going (tawaaf) between them. And whoever does good voluntarily, then verily, Allah is the All-Recognizer, All-Knower. [Quran; 2:158])

Then,

Abda'u bimaa bada'Allahu bihi

(I begin with what Allah began with.)

You should get in the Mount of As-Safa, face towards the Ka'abah and recite this thrice:

Allahu akbar allahu akbar allahu akbar.

(Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest)

Then recite,

Laa ilaaha illa Allah, Wahdahu laa Sharika lah, Lah ul-Mulk, Wa lah ul-Hamd, Wa huwa 'ala Kulli shay'in Qadeer, Laa ilaaha illa Allah, Anjaza wa'dah, Wa Nasara 'abdah, Wa hazam al-Ahzaba wahdah

(There  is  nothing  worthy  of  worship  except  Allah,  Alone.  He  has  no  partner,  To  Him  belongs  the  kingdom,  &  all  praise belongs to Him, & He has power above all things, There is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, He fulfilled His promise, Granted victory to His servant, And alone He defeated the allied army.)

Once you have recited the dua and verses, you recite Durood and make any supplications for yourself, you family etc. Then descend the Mount and proceed towards the Mount of Marwah. There is a small patch in the middle of the path where there are green lights. Only men are required to lightly jog but do not run between it, while women can slightly hasten their steps. You should return to the normal pace of walking once you are past the green lights. When you reach Mount Marwah, you will have completed 1 circuit. You are required to recite the same verses and du'as as the ones given above for Mount As-Safa.

Between the walking between the two mountains, you should recite any personal supplications for yourself, family, friends and the Ummah. You can also recite any Dua's or verses from the Quran.

7. Trim/Cut Hair

Men are required to trim their hair, it is preferable to shave all their hair but even a trim is allowed. While, women are supposed to cut off a lock of their hair, only about an inch. You have now completed your Umrah, men and women are out of their state of Ihram so all regulations of Ihram are also lifted.
