Last Ten Holiest Night of Ramadan

The entire month of Ramadan is the time period of receiving a bunch of blessings from Allah and his mercy in terms of forgiveness of one's wrongdoings and a means of protection from the hellfire or dozakh. It consists of adoption of such a sacred routine in the life of a Muslim that it leads to opening of new avenues of betterment and productivity and in light of the lessons and teachings of the Religion of Peace Islam. The Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran, verse 2:183;

O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.

The above-mentioned verse is the testimony to the fact that the Allah has always chosen the act of “Roza or Soum” (Fasting) for his devotee being better in their own favor. The reason behind prescribing this great deed of virtue to the Muslims has always been the same, i.e. to make the Muslims more steadfast and righteous on the commandments of the Allah.

Ramadan- the holy month is divided into three Ashras (Phases) that are, first 10 days of Ramadan are of seeking mercy, middle 10 days are about forgiveness and the last 10 days are meant for obtaining protection from the Dozakh or torment of hellfire. Although the complete month is an extremely revered period the last days are of even greater importance in lives of the Muslims. Since it represents the end of the Holy Ramadan and the “Night of verdict” (Laila-tul-Qadr) also falls in it, therefore, it calls for better and greater efforts from every one of us to live to its true spirit.

Acting upon the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH), many true disciples of Islam also dedicates their effort and time solely to worshipping Allah in the form of “Aitakaf” and look for his pardon by praying Namaz and concentrating on Quranic commands.

Now let us discuss how one can make the best out of last ten days of Ramadan:

Praying more in the Nights of Last Ashra

Namaz is a great means of becoming closer to the Allah almighty, and during Ramadan, this act of morality and uprightness yields, even more, benefits for the Muslims. Every Muslim must pray all night long during the last Ashra nights of this sacred month.

Carrying Out Aitakaf in the Mosque

Aitakaf is an extremely blessed form of religious action which calls for the greatest condition of isolation and quiet in Masjid from rest of the world including friends and family. The basic reason behind this deed is to achieve the blessings of Laila-tul-Qadr and Allah’s forgiveness.

Searching the Night of Laila-tul-Qadr

The significance of last ten days of Ramadan enhances due to the presence of the supreme night of the nights during this time period. The nights which are of such high virtue that Allah has dedicated a separate chapter in the Holy Quran, name Surat Al-Qadr.
